The eye surgeons listed in the Trusted LASIK & Cataract Surgeons Directory who have profiles, have extensive qualifications when compared to other refractive and cataract surgeons. We estimate that many, if not most of the Laser eye surgeons in our eye surgeons Directory with profiles, have professional credentials and exceptional experience and we estimate them to be among the top 1% of LASIK eye surgery, Laser refractive surgeons and cataract surgeons in the United States and in some cases the international eye surgeon community as well.
How do we estimate that most LASIK surgeons and cataract surgeons in our LASIK Directory have professional qualifications that place them among the top 1% when compared to other refractive surgeons in the United States?
We believe that professional credentials and accomplishments of eye surgeons best demonstrate their qualifications because such standards are measured by and then compared among their peers. Our estimates are based on the following professional accomplishments: being the first to perform a refractive procedure in the United States or a particular state, the number of FDA studies participated in as an investigator, faculty appointments at the department of ophthalmology of a medical school, number of professional lectures and publications authored (a combination of 50 published articles, text book chapters, textbooks and lectures), honors and awards, editorial and reviewer positions, and other special accomplishments such as inventions and patents.
Of the other LASIK surgeons listed in the Trusted LASIK Surgeons Directory, most have professional credentials that we estimate 5% of all refractive surgeons in the United States would have and the remaining few would place among the top 10%.
In most of instances, these refractive surgeons may not have a faculty appointment in an ophthalmology department at a university (since they may live in a smaller city), have not conducted a major FDA study as an investigator, or have not lectured and published extensively (a combination of at least 50 published articles, textbooks chapters, textbooks, and lectures).
These LASIK and cataract surgeons are still highly accomplished, since they will have made contributions to the field of refractive surgery through their research and other criteria used by Trusted LASIK Surgeons to qualify them for inclusion in our directory.
Consequently, these LASIK Surgeons would have professional credentials that set them above the vast majority of other LASIK surgeons in the United States.

How Are Lasik Eye Surgeons Qualified at TLS
Trusted LASIK Surgeons is committed to listing only highly qualified eye and refractive surgeons. As a public service, we have also included links to web pages of eye surgeons who we believe meet our criteria, but who may have not been fully screened yet or are in progress. While we typically list eye surgeons only, we also include some highly regarded university and private practice laser eye vision centers provided they have several eye surgeons who meet nearly all of the qualifications used in our screening process. We are very selective and the process takes some time, and if we have not listed a expert surgeon in your area yet, you may want email the eye surgeons nearest to you and ask them for a referral. Because some of our listed and qualified eye surgeons have been instructors, wrote books, chapters, make presentations, hold patients and have been or are professors they may know a highly skilled and qualified eye surgeon that is closer to you. However we must advise you that because Trusted LASIK Surgeons, Inc has not screened the eye surgeon that a listed eye surgeon in our directory (this web site) may suggest to you, we make no representation as to there experience or qualifications in that case.
